It’s a Saturday morning at the end of a crazy-busy week. All my monthly clients posted their orders at the same time, which meant working double-time – not that I mind the virtual high fives and the financial results in my bank account…
I DO love my job, but let’s face it – this girl is bone-tired. Of course, the fact that I’ve been on a week-long break from my new vigorous exercise routine, meant that I have been eating badly (if you call lots of chocolate, pizza and burgers eating badly – Hubby’s been doing the cooking because I’ve been busy…), has probably added to the fatigue. Nice as those foods are, they don’t fuel the body. So when hubby leaves with his dad – who is here for a 3-week visit – and the kids to go watch my boy run the Park Run, it presents the perfect opportunity to make myself a quick breakfast.
The eggs were frying and I grabbed a leftover white bread roll from last night’s burgers from the bag, buttering it liberally, and slapping on a slice of cheese, when I remembered that Monday is back-to-exercise day.
